‘Au Clair de la Lys’ is a comfortable and well-equipped accommodation of 280 m² designed to accommodate 12 people (maximum 14). With 5 spacious bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, a large living room with table football, Flemish games, stove and TV, it is perfect for family, friendly or professional stays; a beautiful terrace with garden furniture and barbecue promises friendly moments in the summer, and a large park with children's games and city stadium will allow the youngest to have fun in total safety. All bed and bathroom linen is provided for rent.

The booking
Opening period & length of stay
The cottage ‘Au Clair de la Lys’ is open all year round, from 1 January to 31 December inclusive. You can book the cottage by:
- Weekend (Friday to Sunday),
- Mid-week (Monday to Friday),
- Week (Saturday to Saturday).
It is obviously possible to make your stay last several weeks for a long rental.
Rental
Book the accommodation
In order to guarantee you a quality welcome on the premises, any reservation of stay must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Weekend reservations are made directly on the holiday cottage calendar (respecting arrival on Friday and departure on Sunday). If you need to make a reservation during the mid-week or during the week, do not hesitate to ask the association Lys sans Frontières to send you a quote tailored to your needs.
If you book online, a deposit of 700.00€ will be requested; if your reservation is paid by check, we invite you to hand over this deposit check directly on site at the place welcoming you on site. This deposit is mandatory and your stay will not be possible without it. In the event of a breach of cleanliness or respect for the premises, Lys sans Frontières will take the opportunity to recover part of the deposit depending on the damage or damage notified during your departure. If no damage is found, it will be handed over to you at the end of your stay.
Pets are allowed to stay in the ecolodges with respect to one pet/stay. The option is to be selected when booking.
Plan your arrival and departure
Arrival: between 16:00 and 20:00 in agreement with Benjamin TIESSET (07 56 87 89 42), manager, who will welcome you on site only at the time previously agreed with him. No late arrival will be possible after 8:00 pm.
Departure: takes place between 8:00 and 10:00, always in agreement with the manager. They will collect the keys handed over at the beginning of your stay and carry out the check-out, in accordance with the rental rules. You will be asked for your identity card in exchange for the keys to the entire building, gate and others.
Ensuring your stay
The tenant will be required to insure with an insurance company both for his rental risks and for the property leased. It may request the institution concerned to verify the presence of this clause in its contract. In case of request from the manager, the tenant must be able to provide any proof "resort insurance".
Rates
Depending on the length and period of rental, the prices of a stay 'Au Clair de Lys' are:
- 1 170 to 1 340€ for a weekend,
- 1 420 to 1 720€ for a mid-week,
- €1,720 to €2,020 for a week.

The marina and the Flandre Lys water sports center
During the summer, many water activities are offered to the general public on the site of the marina in Haverskerque and the nautical base Flandre Lys, located only 2 km from the gite: canoe, pedalo, mountain bike, archery, electric boat... A 12-seater boat is also available for rent (with sailor) for rides.

Services
Haverskerque and St-Venant (municipality adjacent to Haverskerque) are both small municipalities where you will find restaurants, small shops, cafes and pharmacies easily accessible on foot, by car or by bike. A vending machine with local products and a 'friterie' are located right next to the cottage. At the back of the accommodation, a city-stadium and a children's playground are accessible to the general public.
Natural curiosities
The forest of Nieppe / De bos van Nieppe
With its 2,602 hectares, the forest is the largest forest in the Dunkerque district. In any season, the Nieppe Forest welcomes many visitors on foot, mountain bike or horse.
The Bois d’Amont Heroness
Located behind the Forest forest house, this hedge is a privileged place to observe hundreds of birds coming to nest in early February.
Hiking trails
There are two hiking routes from the municipality of Haverskerque:
- Circuit du Tannay: 6 km / 2 hours
- Circuit des Trois clochers: 10.5 km / 3 h30

For cycling enthusiasts, the EuroVelo V from Saint-Venant to Aire-sur-la-Lys offers 13.7 km of bike paths along the Lys. The Vallée de la Lys & Monts de Flandre network of nodes is also connected to the site (map available for sale in the shop of the site at the price of 7€).
